Mowgli Street Food Cardiff raise £75K for Cerebral Palsy Cymru
September 06 2024
Mowgli Street Food’s Cardiff restaurant first opened its doors in 2019, and selected us to be their house charity, a concept which is at the heart of each of the Mowgli Restaurants.
“To help raise funds for this wonderful charity, we add a discretionary £1.00 donation to every customer’s bill” explains Miguel Delgado, General Manager at Mowgli Street Food Cardiff. "Our staff members inform customers about the amazing work of our house charity, Cerebral Palsy Cymru at the end of every meal which I think it’s a great way to raise awareness of the important work this charity does, as well as helping with their fundraising efforts.”
Every Mowgli Street Food restaurant across the UK has a house charity, and since it was founded in 2014, the Mowgli Trust has raised nearly £2million for their chosen charities such as Maggie’s Cancer Care, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, Hope House and Cerebral Palsy Cymru.
In addition to encouraging customers to show their support for their house charity, the team at Mowgli Street Food Cardiff have also participated in a number of fundraising activities for Cerebral Palsy Cymru.
“From running the Cardiff Half Marathon to conquering their fears and riding the fastest seated zipline in the world, the team at Mowgli Street Food Cardiff have simply been amazing supporters and fundraisers,” says Marie Wood, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Cerebral Palsy Cymru. “Mowgli has been a fantastic partner for Cerebral Palsy Cymru! Their phenomenal fundraising efforts and the kind donations from their customers have enabled us to provide life-changing therapy and support for children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy. We are so grateful for their help and, as we see demand for our specialist services increase, we look forward to growing the partnership, and to continue working with the Mowgli team so that we can help even more families!”
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Mowgli Street Food Cardiff for their continued friendship and support.
